This Is Something That Cannot Be Denied!

Yes, attitude is everything if one desires to be successful. A positive attitude will definitely help you reach your goals as revealed in the many quotes on this page.

Our attitude will have an impact on our lives. That is just the way it is. Be positive, think positive thoughts and positive things are much more likely to happen. Negative thoughts are more likely to produce negative results.

Most often our attitude is a product of our childhood. The influence of our parents is, therefore, likely to mold our attitude about everything. Look back on your childhood. Were the influences positive? A child's world is shaped by those encouragements.

A child's attitude is naturally upbeat and bright. They giggle and laugh and relentlessly pursue goals such as walking. They will fall, but will get up again - often with a smile on their cute face.

As the child gets older, they will have learned to have an attitude about everything in their lives. Money, education, appearance, successes and failures will be positive, if the their parent's influences were optimistic.

Awareness of our attitude about everything will always be very important!

"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude."   THOMAS JEFFERSON

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."   WINSTON CHURCHILL

Yes, Attitude is Everything!

It has been said, and I agree, that it is not so much things or events, but how we react to them, that is, our attitude toward them.

We all experience heartaches, rejection and disappointments, even hard times. Our attitude determines how we respond to those frustrations - how we perceive the world.

When I had a private pilot's license, there was a aviation term called "attitude". It referred to "climbing" or "losing altitude". In a sense, it is similar to our attitude about the things that happen to us.

Just as the pilot has control over his attitude, we also have a choice. We can be in a good mood or a bad mood. We can be positive or negative about almost anything. We can be happy and enjoying life, and be a joy to those around us.

In fact, every situation presents a choice. We decide how we will react. We have control over our attitude. We can change our attitude. We can improve it and make it "better". It may not be easy to do, but it is our choice. There is no better time to take control of your attitude than now. No one else can do it for us.

Roadblock to Success!

What do successful people have in common? It is not wishful thinking. It is commitment to a goal. They make decisions that are good for their future.

There seems to be an influential voice in their head that says: "Make your decision a good one".

They discover what motivates them. It could be financial gain or love or fear or anything else. They get enthused about their choice. They walk a little faster; hold their head high. Their enthusiasm shows in their body language.

They realize that attitude is everything. They tend to surround themselves with upbeat people who have positive attitudes. They realize that their enthusiasm is contagious.

"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it."   LOU HOLTZ

"People may hear your word, but they feel your attitude."   JOHN C. MAXWELL

"Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude."   RALPH MARSTON

"I Can" versus "I Can't"!

The "I Can" person looks for the good in others; looks for solutions; sees possibilities; and counts his blessings. The "I Can't" person finds faults with others; sees limitations; dwells on problems; and focuses on what's missing.

The "I Can" person does not surrender control of their attitude to negative circumstances. They see the bad things that happen as temporary and don't let them change their attitude. They are optimistic about nearly everything.

The "I Can't" person lets their attitude be controlled by the bad things that happen to them. They get angry as they dwell on their failures. They don't realize that doors open for the optimist and that there is no joy in being around a negative person. They have an habitually bad attitude which results in low self-esteem.

For the job seekers out there, remember: No one wants to be around a negative person. They are rarely hired.

"Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude."   ZIG ZIGLAR

"Our attitude towards others determines their attitude towards us."   EARL NIGHTENGALE

"The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes."   WILLIAM JAMES
